Dvd R+ Dvd R- difference?

-What is the difference in the two and what does the R stand for?The two are different formats, but don't worry about the technical details, as most PC's DVD player/recorders can use either format. What you really want though is a DVD RW disc (either plus or minus) as these can be "erased" and used again for recording. The "R" versions can only be recorded on once; they're a little bit cheaper, so if you're sure you won't want to erase the disc and use it again, you can save a little money and buy the DVD R's.
