-its on a mac desktop and it says " :bolded: To install the sims(tm)3 ambitions you must have the sims(TM)3 installed, :unbloded: Select a volume where the /TheSims 3.kocalized/TheSims3.app is already installed" i did it to the game folder to the game itself and to program files, help please? i use windows 7 not mac!In computer terms, volume used as a noun commonly refers to an entire harddrive or partition. Try selecting the one that the main game is installed on. Chances are it will be "Macintosh HD".
do you have sims 3? if you don't, then you need it to play sims 3 ambitions. otherwise I don't know

Why cant my cpu type a letter and move cursor at same time?
-im trying to play an online game where you need to move around using the keyboard and move the cursor to aim, but my cursor stops moving if i press a letterare you using a passive hub to connect the keyboard and the mouse to the computer via one usb port?
if so , remove the hub and find another solution (a wirelss keyboard and a mouse with an infrared usb receiver)

What is the safest way?
-What is the safest thing for me to buy that I can save all my photos and videos too? I've got lots and lots of pictures and videos and I never ever want to lose them, I've got them all on my laptop at the minute and there not backed up, I'm scared that one day my laptop will break and I will lose everything. What can I do to ensure that I never lose these things. I'm not keen on uploading them to a website for them to be kept online, I was thinking maybe an external hard drive but they can break too. Thanks if you can help xThe safest way? Put them on DVDs or CDs.
Discs provided they are kept in their boxes and treated with respect will certainly out last you.
A disc is not affected by water, electrical interference or magnetism.
The only thing that will destroy them is fire or being physically broken.
Other than that it's estimated they will last between 70 and a 100 years.
A figure of 400 years has even been suggested. However seeing that they have only been around for about 15 years or so those figures haven't been quite proved yet!
A good quality DVD should be good for several years, maybe decades. Make two or three copies and keep them different places.
For photos, you can print them in black-and-white using carbon-based toner (laserjet I think) on low-acid archival paper, which should be good for hundreds of years.
Id say your best option is an external hard drive. You can find them at best buy. If you are responsible then you will not have to worry about the hard drive breaking. Hope that helped

What is ergonomic equipment?
-I need a little help with ICT homework:)
So what is ergonomic equipment and what health problems does it prevent?
Thanks!:)Ergonomic means that its design takes the human body into account, like a mouse made to exactly fit the shape of a hand. They prevent all kinds of health problems, but related to ICT equipment the most common issue is RSI (especially carpal tunnel syndrome).hi
Ergonomics (or human factors) is the scientific discipline concerned with the understanding of interactions among humans and other elements of a system, and the profession that applies theory, principles, data and methods to design in order to optimize human well-being and overall system performance.
Thanks
leena
I think the best place to look for that is in Wikipedia - under the topic ergonomics:

I Have A Sims 3 Graphics Question?
-So, I have learned to hate Sims 3, due to lack of Graphics Quality, but with my new gaming computer I built, I decide to try it again.
Well, playing it for the first time today, since I installed it, I notice one thing that has drawn me away the first time...
When I go into a home, the lighting it absolutely terrible, it is so dark that everything, no matter the color, looks black. This is also true when building a home. When something is in a closed area, it looks dark, and it's starting to make me mad.
I want to know which settings I need to change to fix this, there is no way EA did such a poor job on this game, and didn't bother to fix it after testing... I would hate to think this is my graphics card, I have everything set on max settings, and I know my computer can handle this game.
My Graphics Card is an AMD XFX Radeon HD 6800 Series (1GB) Card.
I keep waiting for an update on my Graphics Card, or a game update that will fix this... But nothing yet.
What do I need to do to fix this issue? It is really bothering me. I even hear Mac's have the same issue, but saw an improvement when using Boot Camp and running Sims 3, but using Windows, I am not seeing any types of improvement, I would hate to see what it looks like on Mac, if they say it looks better on PC.
Thanks in advanced! I appreciate any help or recommendations!I had Windows Vista and I downloaded a cracked version of the Sims game and everything was fine for me. I didn't really see a problem. I'm not sure what your problem is. It might just be a problem with your computer.

What type of computer should i get?
-i am trying to save money to get a new computer what kind should i get p.s. i like to play video gamesWell, if you really play games that take up lots of performance, try out msi they make computers specifically for gaming. If you are really up to the challenge, head over to newegg.com and try building your own computer with a high end graphics card. Trust me, its cheaper and it gives you way more power than buying a pre built. Also, don't buy a Mac, you will end up playing the most boring games on earth. Oh, don't get a laptop if you are gonna play anything serious. Unless you are buying a laptop made for gaming. (Msi sells thoose) But make sure when building a computer, always check the compatibility of every part! Ask around and see if there are any freinds willing to help out. Building computers is very fun. Huge satisfaction when you finish. Good luck!
i'll suggest you get a gaming laptop not pc. laptops like alien ware, dell xps 17 (best), toshiba qosmio, or asus. they'll be just as expensive as a gaming dextop and play games like crysis 2 on ultra settings 1080p or 720p HD..(depends on how much you're willing to spend) and you can slao MOVE around easily with it :D. Most people say they prefer to get a gaming pc than a laptop and i think to myself, why spend 1000$+ on a pc for games only when you can buy and xbox 360 or ps3 for 300$.. makes no sense to me :P. Please!!! get a LAPTOP!!! i just got my dell xps 17 from ebay 3 weeks ago... and i play games like starcraft 2 on 1080p hd @ 35 fps.. it is an awesome dextop replacement.
Definitely build your own computer. Buy your own parts and assemble them. It isn't as hard as it sounds, it's mostly just obeying precautions and screwing in screws. Building a custom computer gets you much more power for your money.
I have a compaq and they are only 280$ ! They are awesome for surfing the web and games! You can get them at best buy or target.
