How to record pc screen with hardware?

-I know there is some great software out there for recording pc screen, but I just wanted to know how to record my pc screen (FOR GAMEPLAYS ACTUALLY) using a hardware method. I have a desktop pc and a laptop, twould be helpful if you can recommend a way using two PCs. Thanks
