-I haven't the installation disc of the Widows (the my is 7) but I want clean totally the HD, how I can do it? has any other mode to do it? And please i wanna FORMAT, not something else!If Windows 7 is pre installed there should be a program in the menus to create your own set of Recovery CDs, this will normally take 3 DVDs to make the whole set. Once made, you boot the computer with the first, it will ask for the second and third as it completes the Install. Also if pre installed, tapping F8 while booting up should bring up a menu of choices you can do. If you install the Windows 7 yourself, not of this will work, you need the CD used to install the Windows.
Why didn't you make a copy of the Windows 7 Operating System as you're advised to do when you first set you computer up? The manufacturers used to include a "System Recovery" disk with all computers, but for the past 3 to 4 years, they have just put the System Recovery on a partition on the hard drive when the os is pre-installed at the factory. You should see two drives if you open the "Computer" program. You'll see the "C" Main Drive and the "D" Recovery Drive. Depending on the brand of computer you have, the System Recovery is accessed by using one of the "F" keys at start-up. This will format the hard drive. You need to back up any personal files so you can re-install them after the format. You'll also need to make sure to re-activate your Windows operating system with Microsoft. And be sure you make a set of Recovery Disks for when your hard drive fails. The Recovery partition does you no good if the hard drive fails. I have Windows Vista and it requires 3 DVD's to copy the operating system.
If you want to completely erase all information from your hard drive, you can ask a friend to help you (or use a seconnd computer with windows 7).
Disconnect your hard drive and install it on the second computer.
Start the system and then right open my PC.
You'll see you hard drive will be listed there.
Right click your Hard drive and click on format.
Hope this helps you!
